It is 2008 and we are doing it again, a new factory floor with already 50 persons by month two of operations in a space called “Ai Kang” in Chinese, meaning “Love and Prosperity” and pronounced similarly with “ICON” in English. This time, the factory is led by none other than our founder Laurance (Yin Lung) Cheng in Changan, the epicenter of quality fashion jewelry in the Guang Dong province. ICON’s concentration will be in higher end goods produced in house. Sterling silver with CZ and gemstone jewelry will be made in a production space that will allow 200 craftsmen, while mid and lower end jewelry will be contracted to a host of 10-15 process manufacturers that will each handle one piece of the total production process. QA will always be done within the walls of ICON.

August 26, 2008 - We officially launched our beta site at http://store.jgoodin.com/ and it was a success. We received very positive feedback from our customers. Many companies were excited about our new drop ship opportunities and are eager to sign up.

Amazing grace. Every now and then I’m reminded of how powerful God is and how fortunate we are to be a part of His grand plan. Our recent (April 2008) move to 903 Mariner St left our 510 W Central location vacant. And many have been praying for us to be able to fill that place with a suitable sublease. Keith, our operations specialist, posted and posted and talked to agents and agents. Seven months of vacancy seemed like a long time and a lot of money down the drain. ....
